El Rey de la Montaña’s idea is by Camilo Vega and Clara María Ochoa, the screenplay by Patricia Ramírez and the cinematography by Juan Carlos Cajiao; it will also feature previously unreleased songs by the Colombian group Los Rolling Ruanas. The cast includes Variel Sánchez, Andrea Gómez, Matías Maldonado and a number of new faces in Colombian acting. Shooting is budgeted for five weeks in various locations on the outskirts of Bogotá, an area characterized by its long, hilly roads where dozens of cyclists, both professionals and amateurs.
